Feelings Wheel

You're angry. But angry about what, exactly?

Why "angry" isn't enough

Research from UCLA's neuroscience department found that naming a specific emotion reduces its intensity (Lieberman et al.). But you can't name what you don't have words for. Most people have about 6 emotion words they use regularly. This wheel gives you 30.

The concept is simple: anger is almost always layered on top of something else. Frustrated is different from humiliated. Bitter is different from let down. Each one points to a different problem -- and a different solution.
