Why anger is almost never the whole story
The anger iceberg model comes from a simple observation in psychology: anger is a secondary emotion. It's the visible part -- loud, obvious, hard to miss. But it's almost always sitting on top of something else.
Research from UCLA (Lieberman et al.) found that naming the emotion underneath anger reduces its intensity. When you put words to what's going on -- fear, exhaustion, shame -- your prefrontal cortex activates and helps regulate the amygdala's fight-or-flight response.
This tool helps you do that. No therapy jargon. Just tap what's true and see what you're working with.
